| Herbz India has been trading in the medicinal herb industry and supplying raw medicinal herbage to buyers who are into processing and value addition in the herbal industry. We start the process from the industry where we identify a requirement and get an order to cater to the same. We then approach the farmers to have them cultivate these medicinal herbs which are required by our buyers on a contract farming basis. Because of the high margins in the industry, coupled with the fact that we avoid middle men and supply directly to the industrial users, we get the best prices for our contract farmers. Because of our agreements with buyers, in the case of 5 crops: Stevia, Safed Musli, Patchouli, Brahmi and Jeyropha, we are also able to give a minimum guaranteed floor price for our farmers output even if the market prices of these herbs crash after the farmer initiates cultivation. Services include land tests, planting material supply, financing, insurance, consultancy & output marketing. |
