Both short-range and long-range devices are sought. Devices may be operated by
phone (landline), cellular
(GSM 900, 1800), paging
(POCSAG 512), satellite, etc.
Devices are required basically
to perform simple on/off operations (such as remotely switching off an electricity meter when the subscriber fails to pay his bill or turning a heating system on before coming home) and remote troubleshooting (such as
rebooting a system without having to send a technician
