A guaranteed high quality water supply is an essential element for good health and high quality life. High level of sulfate, chloride and nitrate ions in drinking water will cause pollution to the water and corrosion to the inside surface of the pipe. If a corroded pipe line is used to transfer drinking water it will inevitably cause sever health problem.

For PE-lined Galvanized Steel Pipe, it is a composite pipe with outer layer of hot dip galvanized welded steel pipe and inside layer of HDPE pipe bonded together under high temperature and pressure. Therefore, It is not only with the advantage of high mechanical strength and good sealing ability due to thread connection as galvanized steel pipe, but also with the advantage of low impurity accumulation, low contamination, low liquid flow resistance and anti-rust, non-corrosive and resistant to acids as HDPE pipe, which is the best substitution of galvanized steel pipe since the latter is often with the problem of rust due to inside zinc coating peeling off after certain working period and causes the rusty water flowing out and harms the people's health. While if use the plastic pipe such as PE, PPR etc, it shall be easily soften and aged when exposed to the sunshine outdoors and the lifetime shall cannot last longer.

The PE-lined Galvanized Steel Pipes followed the Industry Standard for Town Construction of People's Republic of China CJ/T136-2001 Steel pipes of lining plastic for water supply adopting non-equivalently JWWA K116-1996. The bonding strength parameter for hot water type of PE-lined Galvanized Steel Pipes refers to JWWA K140-1996.

For the out layer of hot dip galvanized welded steel pipe, it passes all tests under Chinese National Standard of GB/T 3091-1993 Galvanized welded steel pipe for low pressure service, which is equal to BS 1387/85 class M. This assures you that the thickness of the steel pipe and its thick zinc coating will result in the long product lifetime.
